  • Surrey Square School, in Walworth, London was built in 1884 and is a Grade II listed building. Throughout its history the building has always been utilised as a school.

The restoration of the exterior of the building to its original condition has enhanced the appearance of the school and the surrounding area where many similar period properties can be found.

FMR took care in making sure that all materials for the external work also matched the existing as closely as possible. For example, bricks where sourced to provide a consistency throughout, for the external appearance, when carrying out repairs. Brick types that were sourced include Swanage Imperial Reds and Second Hand Yellow Stock and Tellings Lime for the period pointing.
